2025 West Coast Regional STRONGMAN
The West Coast Strongman Classic a Strongman Corporation sanctioned
competition and is open to all athletes.
Regionals will be held at the EVO Sports Expo at the Santa Clara Convention Center located at 5001 Great America Pkwy.
At a Regional competition, the number of qualifying athletes depends on the number of
athletes competing ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION and follows these standards:
8 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for the Arnold, 1st-3rd place qualify for
Nationals
8-11 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for the Arnold, 1st-4th place qualify for
Nationals
12+ athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for the Arnold, 1st-5th place qualify for
Nationals

Early weigh-in Friday April 11th, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Location: TBD
Saturday April 12th: Weigh-in 8:00 AM; Contest 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Contest is open to everyone.

Women –125lb
Women -140lb
Women -160
Women –180lb
Women open 181lbs +
Lightweight Men -175lb
Welter weight -200lb
Middleweight Men -231 lb.
Heavyweight Men -265lb
Men Open 265lb+
Masters:
Women -140lbs
Women -180lbs
Women Open 181+
Men -200lbs
Men -231lbs
Men open 232+
2025 West Coast Strongman Classic Events:
- Overhead Medley
- Athletes will begin behind the first implement with hands off. Upon the go command the athlete will begin their press. Order of press is as follows—Log, axle and wheels, mouser block, and Circus Dumbbell. The circus dumbbell will be for reps. 60 second time limit to complete this event.
- Zercher Carry For Time
- Athletes will be at the ready with hands off the implement. Upon the GO command, athletes will begin their run with the implement. Competitors will go 50’ down and 50’ back. 60 second time limit for this event.
- Drops are allowed. 5 second penalty for sliding across either lines.
- Deadlift Ladder
- Athletes will start behind the first implement with hands off. Upon the GO command the athlete will begin their first lift. Order of the ladder is as follows—Axle & wheels, standard bar, & Kratos bar. 60 second time limit for this event.
- Must wait for the down command and control the bar to the ground. No drops from the hips will be allowed. Straps allowed.
- Stone / Sandbag to Shoulder
- Athletes will begin with their hands off of the implement. Upon the GO command, competitors will begin their lifts. Order is as follows—atlas stone, sandbag, sandbag. Implement must be steady with second hand off to be complete. 60 second time limit for this event.
- NO tacky allowed. Tacky towels ONLY
- Bag toss Over Bar
- Athletes will start with their hands on the rig. Upon the GO command the competitor will run to the first bag and proceed from the lightest to heaviest bag. Men will throw over 15’, women over 12’. Split timing will be used for each completed throw. 60 second time limit for this event.
Entry fee:
$150 if registered by Feb 28th
$175 registration fee thereafter.
Registration cut off is April 2nd .
